SJJIF WORLD NO-GI CHAMPIONSHIP 2026 in TOKYO
【 Championship Sanctioned by SJJIF – 15-Star Certification 】
This is an official championship organized by the SPORT JIU-JITSU INTERNATIONAL FEDERATION (SJJIF) in partnership with the ASIAN SPORT JIU-JITSU FEDERATION (ASJJF) and SPORT JIU JITSU JAPAN FEDERATION (SJJJF), and it awards ranking points.
We provide a fair and reliable stage for all athletes who take Jiu-Jitsu seriously as a competitive sport.
Please read the information below carefully before registering.

All registrations and changes must be made exclusively through the personal page (My Page).

【 Safety Policy – Bags and Luggage 】
For the safety and convenience of all participants, the Clear Bag Policy and Luggage Restrictions will be enforced:
・ Only clear bags (plastic, vinyl, or PVC) are allowed.
・ Small handbags (max. 11.5 cm × 16.5 cm) are permitted in addition to one clear bag.
・ Backpacks, suitcases, and large bags are allowed only for competitors.
・ No storage lockers will be available.
・ All bags are subject to inspection.
・ Carrying weapons, knives, or sharp objects is strictly prohibited.
【 Public Admission 】
Ticket price: To be announced
・ Children up to 3 years old – free entry.
・ Athletes up to 15 years old may bring one guardian free of charge on the day of competition.
・ Athletes have free access only on the day they compete.
・ Black belts with valid membership cards – free entry.
・ Black belts without a valid membership card must purchase a ticket.
・ Smoking, alcohol consumption, and bringing animals are strictly prohibited.
【 NO-GI Uniform requirements 】
Rash guards
All athletes, regardless of gender, are required to wear a form-fitting rash guard made of elastic material.
The shirt must be long enough to fully cover the torso down to the waistband of the shorts.
Acceptable colors are black, white, or a combination of black and white, and the shirt must display at least 30% of the athlete’s rank color (belt).
Rash guards that are 100% the color of the athlete’s rank are also allowed.
※ For black belt athletes, a small red area will be tolerated, provided it does not compromise the visual representation of the athlete's rank.
Shorts (Men - kids, juvenile, adult, master)
Men must wear board shorts in black, white, a combination of black and white, and/or the color corresponding to their rank (belt). The shorts must:
・ Be free of pockets or have all pockets fully stitched closed
・ Not have buttons, zippers, exposed drawstrings, plastic, or metal parts that could pose a danger to opponents
・ Cover at least half of the thigh and not extend below the knee
Compression shorts made of elastic, skin-tight material may be worn underneath. These must be black, white, black and white, or in the athlete’s rank color.
※ When wearing compression shorts, they must be worn underneath MMA shorts or board shorts.
Shorts, compression shorts, and pants (Women - kids, juvenile, adult, master)
Female athletes may wear:
・ Shorts
・ Compression shorts
・ Compression pants (spats)
These garments must be skin-tight and in black, white, black and white, and/or the color of the athlete’s rank (belt). All shorts must:
・ Be free of pockets or have all pockets fully stitched closed
・ Not have buttons, zippers, or any hard plastic or metal components
・ Cover at least half of the thigh and not extend below the knee
【 NO-GI Uniform Policy 】
All NO-GI uniforms must comply with ASJJF standards.
※ Non-compliant uniforms are not allowed.
※ It’s strongly recommended to bring two uniforms due to their condition and the possibility of them becoming dirty or damaged.

【 Ranking Points System 】
This championship will be held as a 15-STARS certified event, with the following points awarded.
Fighter Ranking Points
・ 1st place: 225 points
・ 2nd place: 105 points
・ 3rd place: 49 points
・ Single winner: 105 points
Additional Points System
Athletes who win (each fight) will receive extra points.
・ Win by submission: +3 points
・ Win by points, others (non-submission): +1 point
Team Ranking Points
・ 1st place: 225 points
・ 2nd place: 105 points
・ 3rd place: 49 points
・ Single winner: 0 points
・ Brackets (categories) composed only by the same team: 0 points

【 Verification and Correction of Registration Information 】
・ For Athletes
Please verify that there are no errors in your registration details (name, belt, weight, age category, etc.) by checking the「Fighters List」. If corrections are needed, please make them via your personal page.
If you have difficulty performing the operation yourself, please contact our customer service channel.
・ For Coach (Professor)
If there are errors in the registration details of your team’s athletes, or if there are strategic adjustments to categories that affect team ranking points, please send an email from the registered email address of your federation, clearly stating the necessary changes and requesting corrections in a single email.
【 For athletes without an opponent in their category (alone in the bracket) 】
If an athlete has no opponent in their category by the「Cancellation & Refund Request Deadline」, they may choose one of the following options:
- Remain in the category, receive a champion's medal, and earn the corresponding points for the Fighter Ranking.
- Request a change of category.
- Request cancellation of registration and a refund of the paid fee.

【 Cancellation & Refund Policy 】
・ In cases where an athlete has no opponent (single entry), a full refund of the entry fee will be granted only if the request is submitted by the Cancellation & Refund Request Deadline.
・ Refunds and cancellations are only accepted for athletes with no opponent (single entry), and must be requested through the dedicated form below or via the official inquiry channel.

※ If no request is made by the specified deadline, the athlete will automatically be considered a “solo champion” and will not be eligible for a refund.
※ Entry fees cannot be transferred or carried over to another event.
【 Award Ceremony Regulations 】
We kindly ask for your understanding and cooperation in following the rules below:
・ Please attend the award ceremony wearing the same uniform as in your match.
(Gi Division: Full Gi / No-Gi Division: Rash guard and shorts, etc.)
・ Banners, flags, or similar displays are prohibited during the official photo session.
・ Medals will be awarded only during the award ceremony on the event day. (Shipping or later pickup is not available)
【 Participation Requirements and Eligibility for Competitors 】
Athletes who meet the following criteria will not be eligible to compete as white belts (beginners):
・ Hold a black belt in judo
・ Have professional MMA experience
・ Have official records in amateur MMA
・ Have experience in wrestling (Olympic style, Greco-Roman, etc.)
※ The eligibility will be determined by official competition history (website) both national and international (on the event website or on websites related to the event).
Additionally, for kids who hold yellow, orange, or green belts, participation in the white belt category is not allowed in either the Juvenile or Adult divisions.
【 General Notes Regarding Championship Participation 】
・ The official weight unit for this championship is kilograms (kg).
・ Providing false information in your registration (such as date of birth, belt rank, team affiliation, etc.) will result in immediate disqualification and may lead to a ban from future events.
・ On the day of the event, you must bring a government-issued photo ID. May be asked to show it before the match.
・ All athletes must be officially affiliated with a black belt instructor.
・ The federation reserves the right to verify the affiliation of all athletes and may deny participation if it cannot be confirmed.
・ Flights and accommodations must be booked immediately after completing the registration.
・ This championship will be conducted in accordance with the ASJJF Rulebook and Guidelines. Please make sure to read and understand them in advance.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
【 Visas, Invitation Letters, and Official Requirements 】
Entry Types
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan (MOFA), athletes traveling to Japan to participate in short-term sports competitions may apply for a Temporary Visitor Visa, valid for up to 90 days.
Visa-free entry is permitted for citizens of countries that have visa exemption agreements with Japan.

【 Official Invitation Letter 】
The ASJJF may provide an Invitation Letter upon individual request from athletes who are already registered and confirmed in the championship system.
This letter serves only to verify the sports purpose of travel and does not replace or guarantee visa issuance.
Important:
・ The ASJJF does not issue guarantee letters.
・ The responsibility for visa application and approval lies solely with the athlete.
・ Each Japanese Embassy or Consulate may request additional documents depending on the applicant’s country.
【 Common Documents Required by Japanese Consulates 】
Based on MOFA guidelines and standard consular practices, the following documents are often required for visa and/or invitation requests:
- Valid passport covering the entire stay period.
- Official visa application form duly filled and signed.
- Recent photo (3.5 × 4.5 cm) following official standards.
- Detailed schedule of stay in Japan, indicating event dates and accommodation locations.
- Proof of accommodation (hotel reservation or equivalent for entire stay).
- Proof of air ticket reservation or itinerary (round trip).
- Recent bank statement showing sufficient funds for the trip (recommended balance equivalent to USD 2,000~3,000 for short stays).
- Proof of employment or self-employment (letter from employer stating position, duration, and salary, or business registration).
- Proof of registration in the event issued through the official ASJJF/SJJIF system.
- Invitation letter issued by ASJJF, if applicable.
【 Official Notes 】
・ Even when all documents are submitted, visa issuance depends solely on the evaluation of the Japanese Embassy or Consulate.
・ MOFA states that “additional documents may be required depending on individual verification needs.”
・ It is advisable not to purchase non-refundable tickets before visa issuance unless permitted by the consulate.
・ All documents should preferably be in English or Japanese, or accompanied by an official translation.

【 How to Access the Venue 】
Airports:
・ Haneda Airport (HND) – closest to central Tokyo, ideal for quick transfer to Shibuya/Harajuku.
・ Narita International Airport (NRT) – larger number of international flights; direct train access.
Transportation:
・ From Haneda → subway or bus to Shibuya, Harajuku, or Meiji-Jingumae (40–60 min).
・ From Narita → express train or limousine bus to Shibuya (70–100 min).

【 Accommodation 】
